Darth Vader Doesn't Use a Keyboard

(Posted by adam)

das_keyboard.jpg But if he did, he'd be all over the new Das Keyboard, in pure modernist black, without any decoration, like letters printed on the keys. Because sometimes you just need to signal that you're so...ummm....cool...that you don't need letters on the keys.

(Via Daring Fireball, who points out that it's "marketed to “übergeeks” who might get off on the fact that most people couldn’t use this keyboard.")

I'm somehow getting this image of Obi Wan Kenobi teaching some young programmer to debug code with a helmet over his eyes, so he can't see the keyboard or screen....

What's next? blank screen? one-button mouse? no debuggers?
This keyboard is cooooooool.

Sorry, was on vacation and so late to the game. But I have a comment on this:

My dad learned typing many moons ago on a typewriter with nothing on the keys. So it did no good to look at your hands as you typed.

Not uber geeky, of course, but still a use.
